Virus security for office computers and networks

A computer virus can iffect complete structures

Digital viruses are common in information technology. And still most computers are not protected sufficiently. New viruses are detected on harddrives of privat and office computers, through various distribution channels. Mostly detected too late a computer virus damages the system or sends Emails to all contacts for a wide distribution.

Software alone only provides low security

Anti virus programms are running in the background and scan, according to the configuration and range of activities all receiving Email and sent documents. But what is the need of the best application if the virus cannot be identified. The use of anti virus programms does not guarantee entire security. Continues updating offers sufficient security.

What is a computer virus?

Computer viruses are applications which active unwanted actions. They for excample can change the clock, detect passwords, record keyboard entries and cause error functions.

What is a Trojan horse?

A Trojan horse is - contrary to viruses - programms that are installed unnoticed can give the creater the controll of the particular system. As soon as the destinated computer is online, the "attacker" can run prosesses unseen and/or spy on the network.

How do computer viruses spread?

In most cases computer viruses are spread online. They are hided in Email attachements or are downloaded onto the harddrive. They can also be transmitted through portable storage (CD, USB stick, memory card, etc.)
